Classification of elements into gatherings and improvement of Periodic Law and Periodic Table are the results. It is additionally classified into elements, compounds and mixtures dependent on composition. The components can be categorized into metals, non-metals and metalloids. Elements in the modern periodic table can be classified into four blocks viz., s-block, p-block, d-block and f-block depending on the type of atomic orbitals that are being filled with electrons. The table has seven rows and 18 columns. Each column speaks to one period; the period number of an element shows what number of its energy levels house electrons.
